Systems and Software ConsortiumEngineering Processes

Solers ensures quality products for its customers through the application of standards compliant, structured software development, systems engineering, and management processes. Solers' Organizational Process Group (OPG) has corporate-level responsibility for defining, implementing, maintaining, and managing Solers' software development processes. Solers has been a member of the Systems and Software Consortium since 2002.

Solers project management, engineering, and support processes, shown below, adapt the Rational Unified Process (RUP) for iterative, incremental software development. Solers adopted the Unified Modeling Language (UML) for all design and development artifacts and the IEEE 12207 standards for all documentation artifacts.

Solers standard processes define the procedures that must be applied during each stage of the engineering lifecycle, including requirements analysis, analysis and design, test planning, implementation, test execution, configuration and change management, quality assurance, measurement and analysis, training, and program management.
