Enterprise Services
The Solers' Enterprise Services department focuses on developing core enterprise services necessary to support the Warfighter at all echelons; from National Sources and Combatant Commanders to tactical users. Our information dissemination management technology provides leading edge core enterprise services for content discovery, messaging, storage, and smart pull, as shown in the figure and described in the following paragraphs.
Core Enterprise Services
Solers' content discovery capabilities provide the Warfighter with an awareness of relevant, accurate information to satisfy their mission requirements. Solers' solution employs distributed, federated catalogs deployed around the network providing indexing of local site information. The Warfighter then utilizes enterprise capabilities that enable them to simultaneously search distributed catalogs to locate and retrieve relevant information.
Solers messaging services provide priority-driven, assured transport and manage the flow of information between sources and users across multiple communications paths. Our messaging solutions utilize industry standards, such as the Java Messaging Service (JMS), to provide information dissemination around the network centric environment, coupled with policy to control access and to manage utilization of network resources.
Solers storage services provide highly available, highly connected, persistent storage for ad-hoc products generated by the Warfighter. Our solution supports disaster recovery and continuous operations (DR/COOP) within the enterprise, and it provides for long-term archival storage. We leverage legacy storage solutions and emerging COTS Storage Area Network (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices. Warfighter access to the storage services is provided via Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning (WebDAV), which provides an easily accessible interface for remotely accessible storage, access control, and versioning.
To support smart pull of information, Solers provides a distributed, federated web portal enabling users to gain access to information of interest. The portal automatically forward stages, organizes, and displays information tailored to meet unique, user-defined information requirements. Using the portal the Warfighter only requests and receives information specific to their critical information requirements and mission needs.
Network Operations
Enterprise Services provides information dissemination management technology that meets the needs of an integrated GIG Network Operations (NetOps) solution. Network management generated information exchange plans automatically populate subscriptions and policy constraints within our software to support the smart-pull of information. Likewise, we are able to provide network management with delivery and capacity feedback reporting required for planning purposes. Information assurance provides the PKI services to support secure access to our software, as well as secure exchange of information among information dissemination management nodes.
Process Improvement and IV&V
Enterprise Services provides customers with software process improvement support and Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) testing services. Through implementation of sound engineering processes and tools, Solers provides our customers with the infrastructure required to consistently produce their products on-time and with high quality.
