Solers' enterprise application solutions seamlessly manage data, information and knowledge exchange from National Sources and Combatant Commanders to the tactical Warfighter, providing power to the edge user.
The Solers' Enterprise Applications department focuses on developing system architectures, software architectures, and robust implementations for Command and Control (C2) and Intelligence applications.
Business Process Orchestration
Our solutions start by effectively discovering and gathering content from data sources in an automated and efficient manner. Solers has teamed with Department of Defense and Intelligence Community customers to develop highly effective mechanisms that facilitate the discovery and automated collection of information from both structured and unstructured data sources, making content readily available to end-users. Through close coordination with information service providers, Solers applies leading-edge industry standards and software technologies to extract and convert information content into forms directly supporting the development of actionable information. Solers couples web services technologies for content and service discovery with composition tools that enable end-users to graphically describe, integrate, and execute information flows or business processes that synchronize information services throughout the network.
Decision Focused Operations
Once information is collected, users need a mechanism to visualize, analyze, and transform that information into knowledge to make well-informed decisions. Solers designs and develops decision support technologies that enable users to combine, organize, and visualize information, transforming it into knowledge. A Course of Action (COA) matrix is the centerpiece of our knowledge management technology, enabling a Warfighter to visually assess the impacts of mission alternatives.
Orchestrating the Decision Support Process
As shown in the figure above, Solers' combined technology enables a commander to develop an information flow that collects observations and data, refines and processes the information by utilizing available information services on the GIG, and integrates the results to assist in building courses of action. Our decision support tools enable the commander to analyze the information in multiple views, drill-down to get more detail, and present courses of action to senior leaders for a decision. The resulting decisions and supporting knowledge flow back to the Warfighter for action. This integrated, cyclical information flow allows the commander to synthesize knowledge from a combination of information inputs and continuously build upon that knowledge base.
