Enterprise Architect 04-001

Job Description:
Work with senior-level Department of Defense and/or Intelligence Community (DoD/IC) clients to define requirements, develop detailed designs, and develop implementation plans for enterprise services within a service oriented architecture environment. Represent clients at cross-government working groups and meetings. Analyze customer requirements, create system/software requirements, architect, design, and review information sharing frameworks that leverage enterprise Services Oriented Architectures (SOA) with components from multiple vendors for DoD systems and applications including C4ISR and information sharing capabilities. Provide subject matter expertise with current/emerging technologies, such as Web 2.0, and Cloud Computing, and be able to articulate how the DoD/IC can use them.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. Masters Degree preferred.

Required Skills:
Client-focused team player experienced with DoD/IC clients, building and managing customer relationships with government staff. Ability to think creatively and operate in a collaborative, fast-paced, process-oriented, deadline-driven - and sometimes ambiguous - environment.

Minimum 10-15 years of experience working as a software engineer, system or enterprise architect, or related discipline, preferably with C4ISR systems in DoD/IC classified environments. Ability to clearly communicate technical requirements and architectural details such that they can be understood by non-technical audiences. Working experience with system requirements definition, use case development, SOAP and/or REST web services, XML, UML, and systems integration.

*Minimum of a Secret clearance is required.

Desired Skills:
Clearable to TS/SCI Clearance Software and/or systems architecture experience. Ability to provide system analysis, architecture, design, and development support for enterprise services. Ability to participate in technical architecture effort with minimal supervision. Well-versed in enterprise technology deployments. Familiar with common W3C standards such as XML, SOAP, WSDL. Familiarity with the following commercial technologies will be beneficial: Rational development tools, J2EE, HTML, JavaScript, Java Servlets, JSPs, LDAP, SSL/TLS, information security, PKI, metadata tagging and indexing technologies, .Net and/or networking protocols. Experience with open-source utility (cloud) computing environments (i.e. Eucalyptus, Terramark, etc.), Knowledgeable in data modeling, database design, middleware solutions, transaction processing, and N-tier architecture
