Job Title:
Wide Area Motion Imagery Research Analyst. 05-005

Job Description:
Provide scientific and technical support services to government program managers at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. Requires expert knowledge of algorithms applied to wide area surveillance videos that recognize a hierarchy of data from objects and tracks to events and activities to complex patterns of behavior based on the spatio-temporal content. Areas of interest include techniques for stitching and associating tracks to create longer, continuous tracks; learning and determining normalcy to enable the detection of anomalies; accumulation of evidence to enable partial matching of sets or sequences of events/activities. Should be familiar with data reduction, data graphing, statistical inferencing, learning and discovery concepts. An understanding of forensic analysis of video data would be helpful. Responsibilities include evaluating system concepts; performing technology assessments; generating technical program briefings; participating in program reviews and technical working groups; coordinating and participating in proposal solicitations and evaluations; generating official program documentation (RDT&E Descriptive Summaries, Memorandum of Understanding documents with Service Agencies, responses to Congressional inquiries, ARPA orders, SBIR topics, etc.); collecting and analyzing technical and schedule data.

Education:
Bachelor of Science required, Doctorate or Masters degree preferred

Required Skills:
• 10 years experience in related R&D projects
• Video (motion imagery) analysis or exploitation experience
• Understanding of DoD’s R&D infrastructure, policies, and processes.
• Excellent communication skills.
• SECRET clearance.

Desired Skills:
• Experience interfacing with senior DoD R&D personnel (DARPA experience preferred)
• Team leadership skills
• TS/SCI clearance
