Solers Re-Certified at CMMI^® Level 3 Rating

Solers has been recertified at a Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) for Development Maturity Level 3 rating. This achievement, rare for a company of Solers' size, demonstrates a significant commitment to excellence in product development and process improvement. This certification was a re-certification of CMMI level 3 rating that Solers earned back in 2007. CMMI is a framework of industry best practices for improving the management, development, and maintenance of products and services. CMMI was developed by the Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute (SEI), a federally funded research and development center. Benefits of using the CMMI include reduced cost and higher productivity, quality and customer satisfaction. CMMI is recognized as the standard of excellence in government and industry, and the U.S Department of Defense (DoD) recognizes CMMI ratings to be predictive of organizational performance. Solers' rating resulted from a rigorous assessment by the SEI using the Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement. Maturity Level 3 confirms compliance in 18 process areas spanning management, engineering, and support activities.
